SAMUEL LOCKARD, farmer, was born, November 3, 1833, in Lycoming county, son of John and Catherine (Fague) Lockard. He received a common school education and has devoted his whole time to farming. February 8, 1869, he was married to Margaret M. Gortner, and to this union have been born ten children: Walter, of Montoursville; Sarah C.; Julian; George; Charles L.; Thomas; Cora; William, deceased; Isaac, deceased, and John, deceased.
